Vantage Point Athletics has officially unveiled the match ball for this season's cup run, and it has already survived its toughest test — a full week of finishing drills with Marcus Reed and the first-team squad.
Built for the way we play
The new ball carries a textured casing designed for true flight in wet spring conditions, with high-visibility panels that hold up under the floodlights. Equipment staff ran it through crossing, set-piece and long-range sessions before signing it off for competitive use.
“It moves exactly how you expect it to. First session, no surprises — you can hit it properly straight away.” — Marcus Reed, striker
Tested all week in training
Reed put over two hundred strikes through the new ball across five sessions, alongside the goalkeeping unit, who praised its consistent grip from crosses. The verdict from the dressing room was unanimous: it stays.
When you'll see it
The ball makes its competitive debut in the quarter-final on 14 November, and a limited run of replica balls is available now in the club shop. Supporters attending the tie will see it up close — and, if Reed's training form is anything to go by, in the back of the net.
